Frequently Asked Questions

  • We accept all dogs over 6 months of age.

  • All breeds are welcome. The only requirement is a “Meet and Greet” to screen for temperament and socialization.

  • Meet and Greets are required prior to booking a reservation. Please book an appointment under the training section on the reservation site. Meet and Greets are available Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm in La Grange. If you can't make it out to La Grange for the Meet and Greet, please reach out to us at info@houndhousedogclub.com to discuss other location options. Additionally, we are a no kibble environment and feed our dog guests raw dog food made here on our farm. More information about the importance and advantages of raw can easily be discussed at the Meet and Greets or over the phone. Lastly, a copy of your dog’s rabies vaccination is required.

  • Hound House Dog Club is an all-raw feeding facility. We offer a premium raw blend that is included in the boarding fee. Dogs staying at Hound House Dog Club are fed once or twice a day, whichever they are used to.

If you are currently feeding a dry, canned, or cooked diet, you’ll be contacted by our onsite canine nutritionist to make plans for your dog to transition to our raw blend while they board with us. Dogs transitioning to a raw diet will need to complete a 24 hour fast before enjoying their first raw meal.

If you have any further questions, please email nutrition@houndhousedogclub.com

  • Hound House Dog Club requires proof of a current rabies vaccination for dogs staying at our facility. Adult dogs must have completed at least one adult round of distemper and parvovirus vaccinations. If a dog is less than 12 months of age, puppy vaccines must have been administered. Any vaccinations will need to be completed at least 21 days before the first day of your dog’s stay.

  • We are currently a boarding-only facility. Although we do not offer training or grooming services, we provide the option of a bath and blow dry at the end of your dog’s stay.

  • Dogs must be free of fleas, ticks, and heart worms. If a dog arrives with fleas or ticks, they will be given a medicated bath.

  • Hound House Dog Club is an open play facility centered around group play and activities. We accept dogs that are not spayed or neutered. However, females in heat will not be accepted for boarding.

  • For the protection of all our other dog guests, we only accept healthy dogs at Hound House Dog Club. Dogs must not have been exposed to any communicable diseases within a 30-day period prior to boarding. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept diabetic, epileptic, heart worm positive or incontinent dogs. Dogs with sutures, open wounds, or broken limbs are also not eligible for boarding.

  • Hound House Dog Club can administer basic medications such as those for pain, anxiety, arthritis, and allergies. Dietary supplements that can be administered with meals such as CBD oil and/or joint supplements are also acceptable.

Due to the group-play nature of our facility, Hound House Dog Club cannot accept dogs currently on medication for illness or injury and cannot administer injections.

Please contact us at info@houndhousedogclub.com if you have any questions about suitable medications and supplements.
